Hi everybody...

recently i installed Gunbound Revolution, because some of my friends had it and I wanted to play with/against them. However, upon installation, Gunbound refused to locate/recognize/determine my video card and video drivers. No matter how many times I reinstalled Gunbound or the drivers, it would not work.

I contacted tech support @ Ijji, the company that provides Gunbound in the US, and they said it was a problem with my DirectPlay registry. I was told to reinstall DirectX, and proceeded to attempt to do so. However, I was unable to, partly because I'm lazy, and partly because I was curious as to what was really wrong. Even after moving/deleting DirectX files, the dxwebupdate.exe package from Microsoft refuses to reinstall DirectX, and DirectX Eradicator won't work on my install of XP for some reason.

My question is, does anybody here know of a better way to roll back DirectX from 9.0c to 8.X, or, better yet, know what's wrong with my Gunbound install?

I'd really appreciate any feedback or assistance.

Thanks!
