ok im not really sure whats going on. the pc constantly freezes, im not sure what my son is doing to it. and when it freezes i lose the monitor with a reboot. the light keeps blinking for the monitor, why does this occur? and how may i fix these issues?

can you at least run disk clean-up

from start..all programs..accessories..system tools..disk-clean-up..make sure all boxes are checked
click ok then click yes

Yes ran that and running defrag. says there is 88% free space. Have 512 mem. not using even 1/2 that in mem.

ok well i tried running cleanup, and a defrag, ccleaner. and still nothing the pc constantly freezes. and when you try to reboot, you can hear the power supply and fans running. but usually it makes a beep during startup and now nothing and the monitor light blinks . thanks for any suggestions.

Have you tried downloading and update it and run the program

then do a prefetch

From start..run..type in
prefetch..click ok
go to edit..select all
on any blue file..right click delete
confirm delete

then try this ...check disk will run and do some repairs
my computer..click c:drive
properties..tools
check now..check both boxes..
click start..then restart computer
this goes through 5 stages
takes about 2 hours

if you feel that your computer has been comprised with malware then go here
