I'm not even sure if I'm in the right place(NOT very tech-literate). Anyway, I recently installed SBC Yahoo DSL which comes with an internet security package. I have tried to download their antivirus but have not been able to because of Norton. The first error message is "The installation is missing the file instopts.dat". Went through the process with Windows Help. We got Norton uninstalled and now when I try to download the SBCYahoo antivirus I get another error message with "SYMLT MSI". Norton still seems to have a strong hold in my system? I've got a bunch of boogers in there and need to get them cleaned out but alas, I have been unable to this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
