i have it for a few years now. its been upgraded to 512mb ram and an 80gb hard drive which is only about 7 months old. the old hard drive was done.. since i installed the new hard drive and installed windows xp pro. service pack 2.
when using the laptop it just randomly freezes.. and i cant do anything .. nothing works. hitting caps button to see if cap light comes on.. nothing works at all.. ctrl + alt + del and so on. the only thing is to do is to hold down the power button..
its fully up to date with Microsoft updates and so on..
its only used for surfing the web and email.. its also on a network with my pc..
does anyone have any ideas why its freezing.. it froze while typing this and had to type it all out again
im sure having to hold the power button every time i use it about 3 or 4 times isn't going to be good for the laptop..
hope someone has some helpful tips..

also should have said that the laptop ran perfect with windows xp pro b4 the new hard drive,, .... do u think maybe something went wrong when installing xp again? the laptop is fully up to date.. no yellow ticks in device manager and so on
