I did everything you said.

First, I was not able to check the Unregister .dll field (was not active), consequently, none of the .dll files could be deleted.

The following file "did not exist"

C:\WINDOWS\System32\pcdbjapi.exe

The next two files were unable to be deleted.

C:\Program Files\CxtPls
C:\Program Files\Media Access

However, when I started IE to get to this site, I was not redirected to here4search.com, instead about:blank was set as the default page.

New HJT Logfile follows... Thanks

Also, CxtPls was not listed in the Add/Rem Programs, Media Accdess was and was removed.

In regards to the about:blank "homepage, although I'm sure the problem is not completely fixed, my preferred homepage (comcast.net) has not been hijacked as of yet.

We will have to try this in steps, there are 2 removal tools to use,the first is from Kaspersky:
http://www.kaspersky...=146410248#open

Download it to your Desktop, Unzip and Extract All Files!

Now before you execute it,Make Sure All Windows and Browsers are Closed!

Double Click CLRAV.Com to begin the Scanning,it may take a bit to complete, when it does, look for a Report of what took place, and post it here!

Once the removal tool is complete,Open HijackThis and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet!

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {87766247-311C-43B4-8499-3D5FEC94A183} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Media Access] C:\Program Files\Media Access\MediaAccK.exe

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: yz6ri4lecyfiwc.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll

Now Make sure ALL WINDOWS and BROWSERS are CLOSED and hit the Fix Checked Button!!

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)

Now Navigate here:

C:\Program Files\CxtPls<<< Delete Entire Cxtpls folder!

C:\Program Files\Media Access<<< Delete Entire Media Access folder!

Restart Normal and Post a Fresh Log!

There was nothing to remove by CLRAV.com.

I deleted both Program files. When I was doing that I noticed a file labeled
"!Submit", I opened it and it contained the CxtPls and Media Access files as well as a lot of other .exe and .dll. I probably should have waited, but I went ahead and deleted it (still in Recycle Bin).

When HJT runs, I get an error (unexpected error at modBackup_Makebackup) for the 020 dll.dll.dll file.

Finally, two things; when I restarted I noticed my computer trying to close a program called "Shellconhiddenwindow", it closed it and restarted, not sure if it means anything. Also, my computer never went into sleep mode last night (12 hours), once again, not sure if this means anything (normally sleep starts at 30 minutes).

HJT log follows.

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as FindDLL.bat and save it on your Desktop.

dir C:\WINDOWS\System32\*.dll.dll > BadDLL.txt
notepad BadDLL.txt

Locate FindDLL.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it. It will open Notepad with some text in it. Please post the text here.
