Connected but no browser

This is an odd problem. when plugged directly into the router, the browser and everything works fine, when I connect to wireless, on any network, it will tell me that I'm connected and have good signal but the browser is not working, outlook is not working, online poker, nothing! I really REALLY need some help because I have a business meeting to go to and the building I'm going to only has wireless.
