Shortcut peroblem on my deakstop

[size=3]My issue is that when I click on a deskstop icon which is a shortcut to anothe aplication no images or text appears.

I am able to logon to most of my links, but not these shortcuts.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to solve the problem?

When you right click on the icon and choose "properties", does the path point to the target correctly?
