hello, i think i manged to get wrid of one type of the popups now on my desktop (p***, online pharmacy etc etc ......) but the curssed yellow triangle by the active icons on my taskbar keeps on every so often popping up and flashing to tell me i have spyware, low net speed, isp are tracking me etc. i cant access windows update or sign into hotmail amognst otherthings but i kind of went a bit mad on hijack this so i dunno if it was me, ive rebooted in safe mode, ran adaware norton antivirus spysweeper spybot search and destrroy, spy subtract and they all cant detect anything :/, ive also done winsockxpfix and cwshredder to no avail, if anyone would be so kind as to try and help me i would be ever so greatful.

Please look over the Following Entries I have listed, run Hijack This again and check them and then, making sure you have No Internet Explorer Windows open, including this one, Press the "Fix Checked" Button with HijackThis.

Reboot If I have specified below, and Post a Fresh HijackThis log.

After this, Reboot and Delete the following files:

hit Start>control panel>add/remove programs and remove all versions of these Programs:

mywebsearch
smileycentral
mysearch

VIRTUA~1.DLL,
Virtual Maid.dll <--You will have to search for the location of these files, they may be in C:\ C:\windows C:\Windows\System or even C:\Windows\System32 Please notfiy us where you found these 2 files once you find them.




Note: Make sure you have Set Windows to show Hidden Files & Folders before you Start Sending Them to us For Analysis, or you're deleting them. This can be done by looking at the instructions at This Webpage http://www.xtra.co.n...1916458,00.html

To Delete These Files/Folders, You Will need to Boot into Safe Mode. This can be done by tapping F8 while your machine restarts.

Then post a fresh Hijack this log for review and let us know how your system is working
