I have installed a router and I think it's working correctly.(Linksys WRT54G)

I'm now trying to install a wireless g game adapter (Linksys WGA54G) to use with an interactive TV service.

In the set up instructions for the wireless game adapter it says to "plug the included Ethernet network cable into the Game Adapter's Network port." Fine I can do that.

It then says "plug the other end of the Ethernet network cable into your PC's RJ-45 port." Hmmm? Isn't this where my router cable is already connected and if I remove that router cable and put the game adapter's cable into my PC then where does the router cable go so that I can get my internet connection? I'm using a laptop as my only computer. :whistling:

I'm not computer literate so any help in basic terms would be greatly appreciated. I'm obviously doing something wrong or missing something out totally.

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply.

The game adapter is now plugged in port 1 of the router.

However, "Setup utility was unable to locate an Wireless-G Game Adapter on your network" is still coming up when I try to run the install CD for the game adapter.

Any other suggestions please?
