On XP PRO.
I'm using an external USB hard drive for backup.
A monthly FULL backup, and daily INCREMENTALS.
Do I APPEND the INCREMENTALs?
What are the advantages?

Thanks,

Chuck

Hi Chuck
Append means it adds it to the last lot of files instead of overwriting.
I NEVER do incremental backups I always do a full back up and overwrite the previous.
Cheers

yeah...incremental backups where for the days when backup media was small or hard to navigate....if the backup media you're using is the same size...or larger than the device/data you're backing up...then there's no reason not to do a full backup
