I set up a logon script through group policy to map a drive and display a welcome message. The script is applied to the default domain policy (under 'user configuration>windows settings>scripts (logon/logoff)') . When I log in with any of the domain users on the domain controller itself then the policy is applied and the scripts run.

But when I log into the domain on an XP client machine with one of the domain users the scripts don't run. Have been searching online, but can't figure out why the policy isn't being applied to the users on any machine they log into as long as they log into the domain.

Any suggestions?
