I'm using the code availabe at http://www.planet-so...p...39&lngWId=8 to create an image verification form in my web site.
It uses PHP to create a random string and then print it into a PNG image.
It works fine in Internet Explorer but in Firefox i get this error: The image <image_path> cannot be displayed because it contains errors.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

This is a prime example of people who do not test in all browsers. I would suggest searching for a better image verification.

It may sound like a bad idea but I would honestly search for another one. Try here:

Being PHP a server side language, shouldn't it also work in firefox?. I still can't get that.

It would make sense unless the code is poorly written. Firefox is MUCH better at reading proper code than IE. So things will slide in IE that Firefox won't let slide...

Little late on this post, but you could try this verification program:

Jax Captcha or:

Simple Java Captcha

This one provides case sensitive strings:

Captcha Downloads at bottom of page.
