Please can someone help me.

I am experiencing problems with my Dell Battery. Everytime I boot up my computer, I am presented with the ' battery recalibration' page despite the battery showing as full.

It tells me to drain the battery and then recharge for at least 3 hours (I've left it overnight).

I am also able to use the computer without an AC adaptor.

This battery is 1 year old. As I mentioned, I can run the PC for about an hour on battery.

Many thanks

Your battery is probably shorting out or a cell is going dead. One hour is a short time for a battery to last. My Dell Inspirion's battery lasts 2.5 hours and its 3 years old.
