ive set up a teamspeak server on my computer i can connect to it localy by giving the local ip to the other computers but when i want to use it with my m8s over the web on there pc it comes

[22:26:35] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
but it is running cos i connected to it localy
i have done portforwading on my computers firewall and both of routers
i have forwarded 8767 upd and the tcp ones but it still dosent work
i have given my m8s both the ip adresses
anyone got anyi dears?? :whistling:

Spud, first make sure you forwarded all the ports to the correct internal IP. http://portforward.com/ can help with that

Next make sure you are giving the other people the correct EXTERNAL IP which can be found at http://ipchicken.com/ Hopefully that will help!

i think i have i gave them the right 1. i gave them the 1 that comes up when u right click on the server icon it then up with administration,your ip's and exit. i click on your ip's and it comes up with a picture of a pc and an ip adress then it comes with a picture of the web and an ip thts the one tht i gave them is it the right 1?

Think it might help if i give a full description of my problem
im trying to set up a server on teamspeak so me and my m8s can use when gameing.
i am hosting a server on my xp service pack 2

i am also using a netgear DG834 Router and a netgear wpn824 wireless router. i am hardwired to the netgear DG834 Router which is connected directly to the internet. the wireless is also hardwired to this.
i have done port forwading on both routers but on the DG834 Router when i need to type in my computers ip it comes up with illeagal ip adress so i type in the one it quickly flashes at you. is this problem and any1 no how to make it an unilliagal ip???
i have done all the other things it says on http://portforward.c...4/TeamSpeak.htm apart from the static ipp because i think thats already set up
i can connect to my server localy but not over the web. i have given my m8s both ip adresses the server gives me but it comes up
[17:31:29] Connecting to 89.243.3.14
[17:31:32] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
any 1 got any idear/help?? :whistling: :blink: :help:

Hey Coxmaster you can also use ipzebra.com to get your external IP.
