My computer is Barely running Windows Xp Home Edition Sp2 on a 4GB Hard Drive!! I do not have the Win. Xp Operating System Disk anymore. I have just gotten a new 60GB Hard Drive and want to put that in my computer so Xp can run more better. Is there any way I can just transfer one hard drive onto the other one? Or does the Operating System have to be Installed ? Or is there some other way that would work that I'm unaware of? HELP PLEASE!!!!!

you could use a drive imaging software like acronis true image (not free but very good) or drive image XML (free..can be confusing if you've never used it) to make an image of your drive onto the new drive

Or you could contact Microsoft or the computer manufacturer (depending on whether Windows is OEM) to get replacement media.

See Microsoft article 326246 for additional support options.

Hi turbo511, Welcome to G2G, Sure you can Clone the hard drive.
Do a google search and you find just what you need.
I use and like Apricorn EZ GIG. You also could take it to a
computer shop and they could do it for you for a price.
