ok ive been having this problem for a couple days now.
kinda confusing.
whats going on is...my thumbnails arent showing up.
they show up but not as a thumbnail, they are all this same generic thumbnail.
if i click the picture they show up ok.
they are already set to open with picture and fax viewer.
already tried the regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll in run.
tried a couple registry patches(yes i did back up the registry).
any advice?
and i didnt do anything that caused this.
i was clicking a picture it loaded.
closed it off and the thumbnails didnt display anymore.
help is greatly appreciated.
thanks

Could be a corrupted thumbnail database file in 'My Pictures" folder. The file is called THUMBS.DB and there's one in every folder/sub-folder where thumbnail display is selected. You can delete the one in the problem folder, reboot and Windows will make a new one. You'll need to have "show hidden files" enabled in Control Panel->Folder Options, as those files are hidden
