Have a new Dell Optiplex computer with Windows xp and an old HP Laserjet 1000 printer with a usb
connection. I can not print with it, I get an error message saying the INF file is for a OS 95 or
win me,and so it can't read the driver. The CD with the drivers on it from HP is for a Windows XP
OS. I set the port to USB001 but no luck. Can Anybody out there help?

Download and install a new driver from here for Win XP.
