G'day folks,

I'm running Windows XP Home SP2. Out of the blue, and for some unknown reason my desktop keeps crashing everytime I try and open a folder, file, or run an application. The screen will essentially disappear/refresh, and then I'll get the dreaded ACTIVE DESKTOP RECOVERY screen. I tried disabling active desktop and I still get the same results. However, when I go to try and restore the desktop I get an IE script error (I'm running IE7 by the way). The error states this....

Line: 65

Char: 1

Error: Object Doesn't Support this action

Code: 0

URL: FILE://C:/Docments%20and%20Settings/Michael.TLC/Application%20Data/Microsoft/Internet%20Explorer/Desktop.htt

DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE RUNNING SCRIPTS ON THIS PAGE??? (Y/N).

Answering Y or N doesn't do anything.

I was thinking about uninstalling IE7 and reverting back to IE6. But I figured I'd ask here first.

Is anyone else having this problem or know of a fix or solution??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
