I have a Dell Dimension 2350 and this problem started more then a week ago, but wasn't a big problem until yesterday.

I was playing a game that when I would have it in fullscreen, it would make my resolution change (only for a split second, and it always went back to normal). So I switched it so it wouldn't do that anymore, but yesterday I was playing it and all of the sudden my monitor went black and when it came back on, the resolution was wrong. I went to change it, and the bar wouldn't move, so I restarted.
When I logged back on, XP noticed the wrong resolution and asked if it should change it back to normal, so I could change it back to 1024x768, BUT for some reason it was fisheyed (kind of in a circle). I tried restoring my computer to the previous day, but it said no changes were made, so after a while I used the options on my monitor to change the fisheye on 1024x768 back to how it normally is. But even now, after I log on, the monitor goes back for a couple seconds, and goes back to normal.

Is this a monitor problem, a graphics problem, or something else?
