Hey, looking to build a new system as this one is getting on a little bit... the following is what i am looking at:

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2

(seperated a bit to save on eyes :whistling:...)

Total Price: £1750

I would like advice on this system, about whether there are any issues that may arise, and therefore whether there is alternative hardware i should consider.

What the system is for:
- Needs DX10 card, plus space for another at later date
- Needs a proc that will last well
- Needs good cooling for that proc

- Needs well vented case
- Mainly meant as a gaming machine
- Budget of around £1500 - £1850

Thanks,
Chris

Don't get an 8800GTX, just wait a few months for ATi's R600s. They rip the 8800's in two. And plus it will drop the 8800 price durastically too...

Right,

I've been Google'ing looking for a better idea on when R600's will be coming along, but that seems a rather uncertain factor.

Is there any information giving a clearer idea? Also, what is the expected £££ for an R600 card on release (for similar to the G80 above)

Thanks for the help,
Chris
