Hello fishman...welcome to GeeksToGo! You have a 'nasty' on your system that in researching other logs may be the cause of your problems....

First, you need to look at another issue: You have two anti-virus programs installed and active on your computer...Antivir and AVG.

Anti-Virus programs take up an enormous amount of your computer's resources when they are actively scanning your computer. Having two anti-virus programs running at the same time can cause your computer to run very slow, become unstable and even, in rare cases, crash.

If you choose to install more than one Anti-Virus program on your computer, then only one of them should be active in memory at a time.

My recommendation would be to pick one of the antivirus prorams to go forward with and remove the other (or at least ensure it is disabled).

After addressing the anti-virus program issue, please do the following:

1. Open HiJackThis and choose scan only. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE
O20 - Winlogon Notify: msldr32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msldr32.dll

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.

2. Still in HiJackThis:
Click "Open the Misc Tools section" (you may have to click on the config button in the lower right first to get to open misc tools)
Click "Delete a file on reboot..."
In the "Enter file to delete on reboot..." window, navigate to:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

And select the file

msldr32.dll

Then click Open. After you click Open, HiJackThis will ask you if you want to restart your computer now. You do, so click Yes.

3. Post another HJT log for me to review and let me know if you are still having any problems...

I'm not aware that Smitfraud fix should do anything to this:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\msldr32.dll

I believe this is described as a trojan downloader, but I'm not certain it is associated with smitfraud.

If you would like, I'd be happy to review another HJT log after your 'fix' to make sure the log is clean....up to you.

I still would not recommend that you run two AV programs at the same time...but of course, that choice is yours to make.
