The exact error message is:
The folder path 'My Pictures' contains an invalid character.

The when i close that and it ends the installation i get this message:
MSN Messenger setup has failed with error code: '1603'. Please go to the MSN Messenger website and downlad the software from there.

That's exactly what I had just tried to do.

The program that I had tried to uninstall was my old version of MSN Messenger.

Thanks.

by any chance, do you have any pop up blocker/adwatch programs activated. If so disbale them and then try install.

let me know if it works or not.
