Hi all,

After a motherboard crash and a brand new motherboard installed, I had to repair my Win2k installation (via the CD). All was going well (update & drivers) until I picked up SP4 update. I have the following svcpack.log (french), can someone decrypt this for me?... (see below). The SP4 installer stops after "Process before installation"..
Also, I have strange behaviors: for example, when I do a file search, I have a "Windows Installer" appearing and asking for installers (??).

I can't stand it anymore :whistling:...

The svcpack.log file can be found HERE

(Thanks Fenor for having attached the file).

I noticed that I don't have the MSIServer service properly installed: it is called "Windows Installer", and the version is 1.1 (as it should be v2 min).
I tried multiple things as explained here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319624 without any success...

Is this by any chance an OEM CD? If it is you will have problems installing on generic motherboards.
