message poping up in notepad with filename desktop

When i start my system and reach desktop a notepad named desktop open with the following message in it
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787
what could be the problem.I have tried command on my system attrib filename +h +a +s and unhiding command and then i tride command attrib C:\*.* -h -a -s /s/d please help me from stopping this notepad from poping up on to my desktop at each start up.

Since it's been a couple of days, I'll give you my thoughts. It seems to me that some one of your "Start with Windows" processes is activating a file that automatically opens with Notepad. A file path is referenced. What is there? With which program is it associated? Do you have "Shell extensions?" (Context menu add-ons/helpers) ShellExView can offer insight: http://www.nirsoft.n...s/shexview.html Also, since it appears to be a text file I would try a rename/move. Even deletion.
