hi,
i have problem starting my computer w/ windows XP home OS after installing AVIRA ANTIVIR Personal Edition classic software. The windows page tells me it is in the loading page but can not get to all my desktop icons display. I think I need to uninstall this software in the safe and prompt mode. But don't know how...Is any body able to explain me step by step how to uninstall this software? I am a software idiot..please help.

Sure.. it is quite easy to get to safe mode :whistling:

Safe mode is another part of windows that is used if something has gone wrong with windows in normal mode and has very limited drivers. Lets get started :blink:

Reboot the computer. Just keep tapping F8 intill you see a prompt of how to start windows. Please choose Safe Mode. It will load up a bunch of special files to run in safe mode so just give it a minute like usual. You will see your log-on screen is a little bigger than normal and the words Safe Mode all around your screen.
Now just log on to your original account. Congratulations! We made it in safe mode :help:

Now heres what we need to do. Click Start, Click Control Panel. Find Add/Remove Programs. Look for AVIRA ANTIVIR Personal Edition classic and click Change/Remove. Follow the prompts to uninstall it and reboot the machine. See if you can get into Normal mode this time.
