I have a VIA Rhine III Fast Ethernet Adapter which I mostly use for a Lan network with another PC. Recently I installed vista and found the USB drivers were not supported under Vista. I tried via ethernet and the modem didn't recognize the connection, I tried under different operating systems and still no connection, Vista recognizes the ethernet card.

Here's the page link for the driver download. Direct from the VIA arena website where they host the drivers. It includes Vista 32 and 64 bit.

hmm, I'll try that later, but the ethernet connection won't work under Windows XP either, I think the problem is with the modem not the ethernet card, I use it in a LAN connection and it works fine...

There's a lot we don't know here. What kind of service do you have and whether you have a router and what kind of router or modem are you using. Have you accessed the router or modems "homepage" to see what it's configuration is and what it sees? Are the LAN connections separate from the WWW connections are they all on the mode/router?

I'm using a dlink 302g modem.

Yes I have gained access to the modem homepage, umm, I've enabled NAT which hasn't helped. Is there anything else I can do?

The LAN connection I had between the two PC's was seperate from the modem, the modem connected to the PC via USB, now I'm using the same ethernet connection and want to get the PC to connect to the modem through it.
