I'm in charge of fixing computers at my school, and am learning as I go. I've got a Dell running Win2K that is super slow. I've cleaned it up and it runs fairly well before I connect it to our network. Then it CRAWLS. I don't have a win2k disk to reload (it was misplaced and everything else is XP).
What should I try first to try to save this machine. We can't afford to replace it.

Check the Task manager to see what is running and what your CPU usage is and check your Event Logs to see what errors might be occuring.
