Hello.. The other day my whole computer crashed. The computers a Window 2000 Professional Built on NT technology. I'm at my friends house right now and I really need help. The only thing I have on my computer right now is My documents, My computer. My Network places, recycle bin, Internet Explorer, and shortcut to Wincmd32. The internet explorer does not work though. When you click it, a message pops up saying "The web page you requested is not available offline. To view this page. click connect." Then I click connect and another pop up comes up saying, "No connection to the internet is currently available. To view internet content blah blah blah." I really need help on how to reinstall my system so please !!

If you previously were able to connect to the Internet go to Device Manager and see if there are problems with your modem or NIC card. You may need to reinstall the drivers or hardware.

Where do I find the Device Manager?

Right click My Computer then click Properties. You will see Device Manager under the Hardware tab.

Alright I looked at that and this is what I found. There are YELLOW exclamation points under other devices. Ethernet Controller, Multimedia Audio Controller, Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller, and Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

Those appear to be motherboard drivers for onboard devices. What is your computer make and model?
