This error message occurs when printing certain files... ppt presentations etc... Mainly when printing from a laptop.
"Data Violation-Press Set- PCL Request 016-720" the laptop is a lattitude C400, windows xp, pentium 3 processor...

Any idea what may cause it? I've tried to read about it but all I can come up w/ is that it may be related to fonts somehow.... or not...

Thanks!

Welcome to G2G, LadyZK

Have you tried doing this :
In the application that causing problems (e.g Powerpoint), when you attempt to print (File-print..), select the Printer driver that ends in PS3 (i.e Dell Laser Printer 5100cn PS3).
This will force it to use the postscript driver.

Let me know if this solves your problem or not
