Hello all. I am trying to hook up my Compaq Armada laptop to wireless. I just found out that it has a bad Network interface (NIC) card. Do I have to get a new one installed or can I still go wireless as long as I have the router and network adapter correctly hooked up? I am trying to avoid taking this thing in for the NIC if I do not have to. Thanks a million.

if the LAN NIC is busted...that should have no effect on wireless cards...if the system came with a wireless card installed...and it still works then the lan card has no effect....if you don't have a wireless card already in there you'll have to get one
