Hi,
I am looking for some help with a Dell laptop that died suddenly. I did a search but not much turned up.
I was using the laptop, Dell Inspiron 8600, today when it froze up while on the internet. Nothing would work so I powered down by holding the power button down. Now when I turn the laptop on, the power LED's light up then shut down after about 5 seconds. The fan does not turn on. I removed the battery and tried with just the power supply but no luck. I tried the power supply on a different laptop, Inspiron 9300, and I do receive a message that the power supply is only 65 Watts and the 9300 needs a 90 Watt supply. I assume the power supply is fine because the 8600 needs the 65 watt supply. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
