Pictures doesn't show in IE - spyware infection

A week ago my PC was infected by a spyware (I forgot its name)... I removed it, following some guide I found. However, I still got a problem which I believe is connected to the spyware infections I got. When I open IE, I can't see any pictures - they are marked with "X" sign. I go to Tools=>Internet Options=>Advanced and realise that the "Show pictures" option had been removed, along with some other options. So I click the "Restore Defaults" button and everything works fine. After about 15 minutes or so, the options go back to their previous condition. I restore it to defaults, and after a few minutes or after restart, they go back, over and over again.

Any idea what's causing this?
