I am unable to set of sharing as my SHARE tab is missing from my properties and not on the RIGHT Click on a Folder. It has been 3 years since I first set up my file sharing and I have no idea when the tab was lost. Does anyone have a solution for restoring the SHARING tab other than reloading my OS.

Hi Kevdila, and Welcome to Geeks to Go!

Simple File Sharing (SFS) is always enabled and cannot be disabled in Windows XP Home Edition. Please take a look at this Wikipedia entry for a work-around.

For Windows XP Professional, take a look at MS Article 307874.
