My brother recently got his own computer and wants to transfer his music over to his computer along with some other files. Currently, we have three computers running on a router (not wireless) for internet/etc. If I go to My Network Places I don't see the other two computers on the network. So I am trying to figure out how I can access them to transfer the files and what not. Thanks.

The easiest way is to put an FTP server on the machine you're moving the files to, and an FTP client on the machine you're moving the files from. It avoids the need to set up file and printer sharing and the server can be turned on and off easily. I like the ones you get here

for the use you are describing. They are both very easy to configure. You may need to change your firewall settings.
