Installed Ricoh ScanRouter V2 Lite. Since reboot, event viewer is flooded with COM Errors 100022. Have narrowed it down to DCOM config setting, although when trying to go into the DCOM property pages, nothing is dispayed.

The server will not copy files or minimize windows to the taskbar and network connectivity is slow - due to the wrong DCOM settings.

Does anyone know how to reinstall DCOM or configure the settings in the registry for access/launch permissions etc as I cannot get access to the DCOM property pages.

Have tried reregistering ole32.dll as per a MS KB article.

The only way to fix this other than reinstalling the OS is to get an XP/Win2K3 Server Clean Install machine and copy [right click and export] the following registry key to removable media.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OLE

Go to the Server where DCOM is corrupted and delete all entries under this key apart from the (Default) entry.

Double click on the exported registry key and click Ok to install the key into the corrupt DCOM registry settings and reboot.

DCOM will now be fixed and you will be able to view the property screens.

Uninstall ScanRouter V2 Lite via Add/remove Programs
