maybe a stupid question but if you dont know you dont know.how do you open a download, i have bt and winrar downloaded, do i need any other prog to open up a download.

maybe a stupid question but if you dont know you dont know.how do you open a download, i have bt and winrar downloaded, do i need any other prog to open up a download.

When the file has downloaded you should see open, click that to install now, if it just opens a folder with lots of files look for set up and double click, click close to install later
If it is a zip file then you will need winzip or similar, though if you try to open this without having winzip you will get open with box
For further downloads you may want to go to my documents, right click empty part then new then folder then name it downloads, when you download a file, save it to this folder then you can right click a file then select scan with your anti-virus programme to check it is safe to install
