Today, AT&T/Yahoo sent out an email entitled "Email security enhancements - action required".

Basically, the instructions involve the following:

change pop.pacbell.yahoo.com to pop.att.yahoo.com
and
change smtp.pacbell.yahoo.com to smtp.att.yahoo.com
and then
set encrypted port 995 for POP3 and port 465 for SMTP.

Well, I made those changes, and the next time I clicked on send and receive, OE is trying to download 10,000 messages.

Those 10,000 messages are already on my hard drive, and I don't want them again!!!

What should be done so that I only get the new messages?
That is how it was working before.

Can you log in and delete the older messages on the server? In Outlook Express, you can set whether the messages are left on the server in Tools> Accounts> Mail tab> Properties> advanced.
