How is the keyboard cleaned, small dirt and crumbles of food always fall in between the keys and slip down under, how can I clean all this? Remove a majority of the keys and vacuum it?

Pop the keys on one end, turn it so that everything falls that way, shake it a bit, put the keys back on, put a little diluted ammonia on a towel, wring it out, then fold it up to the size of the keyboard, place the keyboard upside down on it, let it sit for an hour or two, then use it to gently wipe off the keyboard.

Alternative method, give it to a thrift shop, let them clean it, buy it back in a couple of days.
