help with games on Vista?

Hello

Can anyone help, iv got Windows vista Premium on my laptop which i bought brand new last month. I have a game called:

Imperial Glory - which once iv loaded on wont start, and comes up "can not be initialised"??

Im thinking of getting:

Medieval II - Total War - Would this run ok with Vista as dont want to waste my ££

Any help would be appricated!!

I use vista home premium and Medievil 2: total war runs great on it so dont owrry about wasting your money. also from all the games ive tested they have installed. such as BF2, BF2142, doom 3, EVE Online, COH, etc. seems as though most of the games are compatable, nothing in my collection has had any problems thus far.

Right click on the short cut for the game, select "use administrative rights". See if that helps.

Tried the Admin Rights, but still comes up saying unable to inititalize? Can anyone help?
