I have an hp pavilion with windows xp. My daughter has a brand new apple. Both of us are having problems viewing anything with java script, quick time macro-media flash. I know we have them installed, but how can I be sure they are on?

Hi cjryan!

You can verify your installation of Java HERE. It will tell you if you have a working version of Java installed and whether it is up-to-date or not. Just read along with what it says and you should be good to go! :whistling:

My computer shows that Java, Quick-Time and Multi-Media Flash are already installed. But....... I followed the prompts anyway.

On the Java site I was instucted to --- Check the box next to the "Use Java 2" version (under tools, internet options, etc) I do not have that option...it only list JRE1.5.0_11

Then it instructs to Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets" Make sure the "Enable" radio button is checked. I have no "Scripting of Java applets" section.

So frustrating!!!!
