Over the past 2 months, when I use google search, occasionally, just searching gives me popups that are roughly related to the word I am searching. It does this when I search via the search box at the top of IE7, when I search using the google toolbar that I've installed, and when I search from the google webpage directly. However, it doesn't always give me popups...only occasionally.
Over the past 2 months, i've run a bunch of spyware programs, including ad-aware, spybot, and the google version of PC tools spyware doctor. I've also run symantec antivirus and some online virus/adware scans (eg. trendmicro). The spyware scans removed some possible malware several weeks ago, but as of recently...they have all found nothing (Except a few cookies in IE).
Nevertheless, the popups still occur when using Google.
I'm worried that whatever is tracking my google searches might also be tracking other personal information, passwords, etc. I type on online forms. Is that possible?
