How do I copy this file from someone elses computer to put on mine?
Without damaging anything?

[This is the message]
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
<Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Please re-install a copy of the above file."

Hi givelove...

This error is not always caused by a missing file...it may be a corrupt or missing boot.ini file.

Do you have a Windows XP installation cd? It would be best to use that to make the repairs.
