Usb Is Not Recognized

Hello Guys,

i recently bought an index pen drive(256 mb).....it worked properly but one day i used it on my pc it stoped working

it showed the following message in a baloon next to the desktop clock:

USB device is NOT REcognized
One of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned,and windows dose not recognize it.



I even tried it on another pc but the same message....i got some really important data on the drive...........

please anyone could help me out????

i'll be very thankful

any help will be appreciated..

Howdy:

Not good. A pen drive is not like a harddrive that you can remove and put in another system to get info from. In effect you did just that and still got the same message. I am afraid there is little if anything you can do now about that. There are recovery specialists out there but they aren't cheap and I am not sure if they even deal with pen drives.

Sorry but you may be out of luck here totally.
