Another option is to use extract now, which is free

During the install, use the add to context menu option

Zip files will save as extract now files, then you right click them and choose to extract here (safest if the file is in its own folder), or extract to named folder

Programme details

Download

Ok,
I have not had any luck with the "extract now" basically because
when I get to the extract part, I don't know what to do, I am not
going to look at the Winzip link from Shazmar, maybe that will help...

If you right click the zip file, you should see these options

[attachment=14032:Screensh...14_45_25.jpg]

Click extract to named folder, that will give you a new folder which has the unzipped files in it

Sorry,
I can't get the file in the box, to do anything with it...
I know I am confusing matters, let me start from the beginning:
I was givin a scanner ; "scanmaker 4600" and my computer is not recognizing
it, so I was trying to download the drivers, I have the driver folders saved on my
desktop, but can't do anything else at this point, because I don't know how to use
"winzip" and unfortuneately I can't understand the instructions page , maybe this
will help you better understand my problem....I hope....
Thanks....

Which country are you using the scanner in

I cannot find it on their Europe page

A link for the download would be good if you have it

The link is:
http://support.microtek.com- then look up scanmaster 4600 for it does not come up
manually...
I seem to have the drivers I just don't know what to do now...

I apologise, extract now wouldn't open it, and it is self extracting, so right click the file, click open, when the box opens, click browse to choose where it unzips to and click unzip, look in the folder for the set up file

I unzipped it and got 4 folders, disc 1 has the set up file

See if the PDF's here help, if not post back

There are three though you only need the one for the connection type you are using, USB, Firewire or SCSI
