Hi
I have a problem where in some games I play it freezes for around 10 seconds then the sound loops, after a while it stops and I can play properly again. I overclocked my graphics card and CPU but set them back to default levels as I thought it might be the cause but it still does it.
Also when it happens there isn't any hard drive loading activity so I don't think it's that.

Hi,

What games does it happen in?
Do you have the latest drivers for all your hardware?

Those games are very graphics card/CPU/RAM heavy.

To find out what your motherboard is.
Download Everest > install it > run it > click motherboard twice and post the motherboard name with your next post.

The problem is called "lag."

Get some extra memory in your pc and it should be gone.

This is the users specs:

System (optional): AthlonX2 3800
Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G
1gb DDR2-600 Corsair Value Ram
Galaxy Tech 7600GT @ 620/1600
Tagan 450w
Thermaltake Mambo

It's not exactly in need of more RAM. I've got a three year old PC and Oblivion doesn't lag/freeze as much as that.

I tried that though it doesn't seem to have helped. This problem usually occurs when I start a game, does it maybe once or twice but after that usually I can play wihtout any hitches at all.

I have noticed another weird thing when I play flatout 2 online. When it does the freezing thing, the game i'm in ends leaving only me in the game. :whistling:
