Hello again

I'm now online at home and installed spyware blaster, spyboy, spyware guard & windows defender as per the advice on here but since doing that I'm unable to logon to yahoo.

Could one of those programs be hampering me or is it something completely seperate?

Many thanks in advance

Bunster (aka Mr Unknowledgeable!)

Edit: looks like it might be other sites I log into aswell...

As they are all free, uninstall each one by one untill you find the offender, possibly spywareguard as I have Yahoo and the others

Please excuse my ignorance...

I've removed Spybot & Avira Antivir and still got the problem...

can't locate the others in add/remove, would they be under other titles? Don't want to just delete random stuff!

Attached the list of programs in add remove.

Could I do a system restore to yesterday and start again?

Spywareblaster is shown alphabetically in mine, so underneath spybot with windows defender at the bottom

Is this for Yahoo Mail / Music or Messenger

If that's the new version then yes, automatically went to that when I managed to get on before doing whatever I did to break it!

Close the browser, click start, control panel, network and internet, internet options

Click advanced, click reset, click OK

Open the browser and try Yahoo

through control panel went into internet options and reset the bit on the security tab and also set the cookies back to default but still no joy

Should I have gone into network connections? Couldn't see a reset option in there...

Did you have to install anything for the broadband since you installed the others

Do you have IE 6

IE 7 has an advanced tab on the right with the reset option

No, just plugged the ethernet connection in, entered username and password & got straight on.

IE6 I think but do have an advanced tab from properties with 'restore defaults'

Restore defaults, another option is system restore to before you installed the others
