On Monday, I got the Blue Screen O' Death with a message that read "Unmountable Boot Volume" so on and so forth. I have read many of the topics on this site and others saying to boot the repair console from the xp disc, only problem is, it wont boot from my CD-ROM drive, coz its broke or some junk. So I tried it in the DVD drive, but the disc wont run. Can someone tell me how to fix ths BSoD, and/or tell me how I might get the XP CD to actually run, thanks. And, yes my name does not lie, I really have Unending Problems...

When you insert the disc into the drive you may have to go into Bio's and change the boot order to listing the CD Drive first.

Thanks, I gotta find out which drive on the BIOS is my DVD drive, but I also heard from a friend that I could just remove my HDD, and hook it up to another XP computer, and the diagnostic that XP would run could fix the problems with the HDD, but im not too sure about that.

Hi UnendingProblems...

Does your machine have a floppy drive installed?

What is the make and model number of your machine?
