Hello:
My CD drives are not being recognized. I get an error about not being able to load drivers. I've removed both by using the sytem access on the control panel. The cd are then found by Plug and play and sioftware drivers are attempted to be installed, but they fail to install. My second problem is I have no sound. I had sound but it sort of disappeared when I had a virus. I did a hijack log and corrected all the suggestions. Then using Win XP Manager I tried to stop some of the many start up programs that load, and that's when my CD problem started. I'm running XP prof SP2 pack.
Help appreciated

Thank you

You could try running the "cd gone" patch. Get it at http://www.aumha.org/regfiles.php
