Oh my god...I dont know what did i do...When i want to play again my Last Chaos US..This error pop out.

Cannot set display mode!
Last Chaos was unable to find display mode with hardware acceleration.Make sure u install proper driver for your videocard as recommender in documentation and set ur desktop to 16 bit (65536 colours).

I go to Settings and my desktop already set to 16 bit...How I can fix this prob? I heard people say reinstall my video card, but how? I am using laptop, XP...I never have this problem before...until one day i saw 1 post about Why laptop lag..So i follow the steps and i think i unclick some files in some programs..Not sure..Just someone can help me with it? I install Pirate King Online and still when i click Enter Game, Nothing happen..

My laptop suddenly lost the Display Adapter as i cant find it in the Device Manager. So i go to RUN>DXDIAG and check for my Display...What i get is under Device,

Name : ( blank )
Manufacture : n/a
Chip Type : n/a
DAC : n/a
Current Display Mode : 1024*768(16bit)(1Hz)
Monitor : ( blank )

I checked for my laptop..

Manufacturer : COMPAL
Model : modeal 0860
ChipSet : Intel - i855PM
CoreSpeed : 1395.5MHz

I bought this old laptop few years ago..Its COMPAQ...Maybe in 2002..or 2003.

Hello FishyKing,

What graphic card do you have?

To find this out please go > Start menu
> Run
> type dxdiag.exe
> Then click on the "Display" tab.

Please provide everything under the heading of "Device"

Jazza!

fishyking:

I merged two of your topics into this one. I also closed another topic you had related to this same issue. Please only start ONE thread for a problem.

As you have been told before, we will not help you with ANY issues on that computer until such time as you get a legitimate copy of Windows.
