I have a Win98 computer that keeps putting back something in the Startup folder called "RIRI" - I believe this is some old scanner software called ReadIris, but it is not in the add/remove programs. I have tried to take out all entries to it in the win.ini file, but it still keeps returning everytime I reboot the computer.

Any ideas?

I don't know that one, but it is likely starting from the registry.

You can run a hijackthis log and get it that way
